Dr. Hoffman is a Prof Emeritis and widely publshed Food Science expert..  Food is essential for life, it is emotive, it is personal, and it is deeply imbedded in our cultures and family histories. However, not enough people know that climate change is changing the flavors, aromas, nutritional quality, and prices of the foods we love and need. Food is the ideal messenger for the climate change story and one that can make climate change relevant to everyone — we all eat.  We also talk a lot about food but far less about climate change yet talking about climate change is the first step in tackling it. Everyone can tap the power of food to confront climate change and keep our favorites on the menu... and coincidentally, keep the planet livable.

Come to the Dryden Creamery to enjoy fellowship, ice cream, and to hear from Zoe & Ben Leonard about their business!

Beth Wright, Owner, will show us around the Pottery Shop and classroom and provide us with an overview of the equipment available and tell us a list of classes she is currently running for beginners through advanced pottery creators.

Richard Lyle is a resident of Groton and active bee keeper since 2018, currently servincg 24 hives.

He will be presenting his hobby at the TC3 morning meeting and will bring a live demonstarion of a hive in action as well as an A/V presentation.

Looking for a Pit Boss to step up and pick his/her team (any newbies out there to give it a try?)  Also, I will order the usual six cases (192 birds) by Mon. Sept 08.  Tony will make the sauce (if he's still willing). We also need a clean-up crew.  This could be the last year for our pit.

This is Dedication Day for the Second Wind Playset that  our Club purchased through a District Grant and installed as our Rotary Service Project under Tony Salerno's Presidential year.  Tony will also have the honor of mounting the official Rotary Plaque on the swingset.  The event will be followed by cake and drink to commenorate this day.  We hope to have members, residents and the children of Second Wind join us in this celebration.  May the gods of weather grant us cool tempreatures and a gentle breeze while Persident Glenn regales us with words of Rotary's contribution through service to communities here and throughout the world.
